The Polish women’s team emerged victorious at the European Women’s Team Chess Championship 2025, defeating Azerbaijan in the final round and scoring 16 match points. Ukraine won silver, Germany bronze (European Chess Union)

GM Divya Deshmukh, reigning Women’s World Cup champion, has been awarded a wild card entry by FIDE to participate in the 2025 Open World Cup in Goa. She will be the only woman in the 206-player field (The Times of India)
